Veera Lummi is a London based musician, composer and producer originally hailing from Finland. With a background in both classical and popular music, she has worked both as a performing musician and as a composer in variety of projects and fields.
Veera completed her master’s degree in Music at Goldsmiths, UoL in 2012 and has since composed music for film, TV and commercials as well as different ensembles.
MUSIC AND COLLABORATIONS
Her work with string quartet Modulus Quartet, ‘12 Seconds of Light’ (Sound Curation Records, 2017), received airtime on BBC3, BBC6 and the Finnish Yle1 and was spectacularly performed in the Rotherhithe Tunnels. Her latest audio works include commissions Taivaalla on Tilaa for Vox Aurea and Aallokko for Ruamjai choirs. Veera has written and arranged upbeat strings for the soulful multi-talent Royce Wood Junior notably Slide, Honey’d Up and Bird on the World from his 2021 release ‘No Two Blue Ticks’.
