Antony Genn is a composer, songwriter, producer and musician. His unique style bridges the alternative music scene and more traditional field of film and television music.
Ant’s background in music stems from an early involvement with PULP, with whom he initially toured as bass player from 1986, subsequently performing as keyboard player and guitarist. After moving to London from his home town Sheffield in 1993 he swiftly became a familiar face on the music scene and in 1995 joined ELASTICA as keyboard player and programmer.
Ant’s distinctive style is evident on recent projects, effortlessly combining his talent for song writing and music scoring on the features MIKE BASSETT ENGLAND MANAGER and STEALING REMBRANDT. Due for release in 2004 is a film setting of Damien Hirst’s 13 poems the CANCER CHRONICLES. Ant has written the music to accompany John Malkovich’s on screen readings.
Ant’s association with known artists continues to this day, including past and present collaborations with U.N.K.L.E, R.L BURNSIDE, QUEEN OF THE STONE AGE, JOE STRUMMER and JARVIS COCKER. Ant is currently co-producing an album with the artist GRACE JONES.&credtxt=Film and Television Credits
